I’ve been following Ian Cox’s case since he went missing, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the transition challenges climbers face in the North Cascades. The melting glaciers and shifting ice are making these areas more unpredictable and risky, even for seasoned climbers like Ian. I wonder if the receding glaciers played a bigger role than we thought. It's scary how these conditions can change so quickly. I truly admire Ian's courage and passion for climbing and hope discussions around his case will prompt more awareness about safety in these rapidly changing environments. Has anyone else noticed more reports of similar accidents in that region recently?
