I’ve been following Jamie Enrique Cortez-Banos’s case for a while now, and I got to thinking about the festival where he was last seen. Douglas Park Festival is such a big event with tons of people coming and going, so there had to be someone who might have seen something. Have any local Chicagoans or festival-goers from 2011 remembered any odd behavior or noticed anyone who seemed suspicious that day? Sometimes, it’s those little, seemingly insignificant details that can be vital. Anyone with festival memories, please share your thoughts—maybe you might have a piece of the puzzle without even realizing it.
Does anyone else find it odd how crowded the Douglas Park Festival gets? I've been there a few times, and it's such a huge event with people shoulder to shoulder. It's hard to imagine how someone could just vanish without a trace. When Jamie Enrique Cortez-Banos went missing, it made me think about how challenging it must be for investigators to piece together any leads in such a chaotic environment. I've read that crowded areas can either help or hinder a case because you've got so many potential witnesses, but it's also like finding a needle in a haystack. Anyone here have thoughts on how law enforcement tackles these massive event investigations? Or even just general thoughts on how they gather useful info out of all the chaos?
