I was thinking about the role of the community in these tragic events, and I can't help but reflect on how much support the families of victims like Mike Sebastian Cortez-Marquez might need during such a difficult time. The intersection of Inglewood and Marine avenues might just appear as another location to many, but it's now marked by such a life-changing event. It's crucial for us, as a community, to step up and offer whatever help we can. Does anyone know if there’s been any organized effort for a memorial or a community gathering to honor Mike’s life and raise awareness about gang violence? It feels like there’s a need to foster more dialogue on how we can intervene and support youth in these communities before tragedies happen. Every bit of support and information shared can make a difference, both for the investigation and for preventing future incidents. If anyone's heard anything or knows how to get involved, please share.
