Hi everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the ripple effects cases like Jose Martin Hernandez and Leonides Rocha's can have on communities, especially when gang violence is involved. Considering Hayward saw its 12th homicide in 2016 because of this feud, I feel for the neighborhoods affected by these tragedies. It's like they're forced to live amidst a backdrop of fear and uncertainty. I can’t imagine how the families and neighbors cope with knowing their street was the site of such a violent act. The investigation mentioned a wiretap operation, which got me curious. Does anyone know how common or effective these tactics are in gang-related cases? It seems like a huge undertaking, but if it helps prevent further violence, it might be worth pursuing more often. I hope communities can unite to find solutions and encourage peace, so we don't see more cases like this. Thoughts?
