Hey everyone, I wanted to discuss something about the William Sims case that's been on my mind. I'm really struck by the courage and strength of his family throughout this long and painful process. I can't even imagine how hard it must have been to sit through those trials, hearing the details of such a violent act against their loved one. It's clear they fought tirelessly for justice, and their emotional testimonies must have been incredibly powerful. I've read about the impact William had on his community as a musician, and it's obvious his light touched many lives. The way his friends and fellow musicians have shared memories speaks volumes about the kind of person he was. I think it's comforting to see the community's support through vigils and the formation of groups like Not In Our Town El Sobrante, which shows that love and unity can emerge in the face of such tragedy. For those of you who attended any of the vigils or events, how did it feel to be part of that communal support? It seems like a beautiful way to honor William's memory and a reminder of the important work still needed to prevent such hate-induced violence. Sending thoughts to his family and friends. They shouldn't have to endure this pain, but their courage is inspiring.
