Does anyone else find it odd that Montey didn't pick up his last paycheck? I mean, for someone who's self-employed, every penny counts, right? It's mentioned that he's really close to his family, so skipping out on something as important as payment seems so unlike what you'd expect. I know sometimes people get caught up in life and might forget, but it feels like a big piece of the puzzle. I'm just curious what others think about this and if anyone has heard anything that might explain why he’d leave it behind.
I’ve been following Montey “Duke” Thomas’ case for a while, and something that keeps standing out to me is his habit of picking up his paychecks religiously. It’s mentioned that he never collected his last one, which seems really odd for someone who has been described as responsible with his earnings. I wonder if there might be anyone from his workplace or friends who noticed anything unusual leading up to that day? Sometimes these little details can give a clue about a person’s state of mind or even if they had any plans to go somewhere or meet someone. If anyone knows more about his work habits or interactions from those final days, it could be really valuable. Just hoping these scattered pieces might come together to shed some light on what happened to Duke.
Hey everyone, I’ve been following Montey “Duke” Thomas’s case, and there's something that’s been bothering me that I haven't seen much discussion about. The man was known to be extremely close to his family, and by all accounts, it seems completely out of character for him not to show up to get his last paycheck.
I mean, he was a self-employed painter, right? So you'd think that getting paid for his hard work would be a priority. The fact that he never collected it — could that be a potential clue as to what happened? Did something urgent come up? Or was there someone nearby that day who posed a threat?
I can’t help but wonder if something went down around that time, or even at Rick's Party Shop, that made him feel like he couldn't go back. It sounds like you've got a close-knit church community and family doing everything they can to find him, so it's just perplexing to try to figure out something that explains such an uncharacteristic move. If anyone else has any thoughts or similar stories from the area, would love to hear them. Maybe we're missing a key pattern here.
