It’s deeply unsettling to learn about the tragic ending of David Robert Willis. I can’t stop thinking about the community impact this must have had in West Oakland. It's a neighborhood already dealing with so much, and for something this violent to happen right in their midst must have been incredibly unsettling. I wonder how the community has come together in the aftermath. Were there any vigils or gatherings to offer support to David's loved ones? Events like this often leave a long-lasting scar on those who live nearby, and I can only hope that his friends and family found some solace and support from their neighbors in the area. If anyone knows more about how the community responded, I’d love to hear about it.
