I’ve been following Barbara Nave’s case, and something about the dogs really puzzles me. She was known to take her little Lhasa Apsos with her everywhere, and yet they were inexplicably left behind, and shockingly, one had died. It feels like such an unusual detail that one was left in distress like that. Given how much she loved and cared for these dogs, would she really have gone anywhere voluntarily without them? I wonder if the condition of the surviving dog could provide some clues. Did it seem stressed or look like it had been neglected for longer than just a day? This detail might reveal a timeline that hasn't been considered yet. Also, was anything done to determine the cause of death for the other dog? Animal medical exams might hold critical information. It just seems like focusing on the dogs could provide a new angle. Does anyone else have thoughts on this or similar cases where pets were a key factor?
