I can't get Alex Gutierrez out of my mind since I heard about the tragic event that led to his death. As someone who has followed true crime cases for a while, it’s particularly distressing to think about the circumstances of this shooting. Imagine going to memorialize your own brother, only to face such violence yet again. It’s truly devastating for his family, losing not one but two sons in the same tragic way, in the same place. I can’t even begin to comprehend that level of pain. I've read that the incident might be gang-related, which seems like it might be a dead end given how difficult it can be to get information from people who may fear retaliation. Nonetheless, it’s crucial that anyone who knows something finds a way to share it with the police anonymously if necessary. Detective Cortez and his team seem genuinely committed to solving this case, and they deserve the community's support. I just hope for some resolution soon so that Alex’s family and the loved ones of Melissa Lopez, who also lost her life that day, can find even a small amount of peace. If you’re in the area, keep your ears open, and let’s hope justice prevails.
