Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Gunner Williamson case pretty closely and was wondering what others thought about the impact of the narcotics division being disbanded around that time. It’s frustrating to think about how the lack of police presence in areas like "The Cut" might've contributed to a spike in crime, not just in Gunner’s case but across the board.
Honestly, it feels like the community is caught in a cycle where fewer officers lead to more crime, which then makes it even harder for the remaining officers to make a dent in solving cases. It’s so disheartening, especially for the families like Gunner’s who are left without answers or justice. Does anyone have thoughts on whether reinstating a dedicated narcotics team could have a significant impact on crime levels, or is it more about addressing the root causes beyond just policing?
