Hey everyone, I just wanted to express my frustration about the lack of progress in Kevin Earin's case. It's been over 10 years, and I can't even begin to imagine what his family must be going through, not knowing who is responsible. Just reading about this and similar cases in New Orleans breaks my heart. The 7th Ward seems particularly plagued with these issues, and it should not be considered normal for any community to experience this level of violence. It’s good to hear that they’re trying different methods, like using DNA and other forensic advancements, but I wonder if enough is being done to engage the community in solving these crimes. Community support seems like it might be a crucial element to solving many of these cases. People might be fearful of coming forward, but I wish there were more ways to ensure their safety when providing information. Hoping for justice for Kevin and for some peace for all the families involved. If anyone's familiar with community-led initiatives that have made a difference, I'd love to hear more about them.
