Does anyone else find it puzzling that the gunfire that took Derrick Alexander's life happened so close to 9:00 PM, yet no significant witnesses have come forward with what they might have seen or heard? It's a pretty residential area from what I gather, and on a summer evening, you'd think more people would be outside or at least notice something unusual. I'm hoping that someone in the community remembers a detail or saw something that didn't make sense at the time. Sometimes it's the smallest piece of information that ends up being crucial. For the sake of Derrick's family, I really hope someone comes forward soon. They deserve answers, and knowing there’s still no justice must weigh heavily on them every single day. If you know anything, please reach out to local authorities. Every little bit helps.
Has anyone else been following the Derrick Alexander case from Baton Rouge? It truly boggles my mind how such a tight-knit community could be struck by this crime, yet still no leads. I heard from some locals that Derrick was always the one organizing neighborhood barbecues and helping out where he could. It's so frustrating that someone so well-loved could be taken like this, and here we are years later with the investigation still stagnant. Surely someone must have seen something or knows more than they're letting on. Hoping that the community steps up and shares any information they have, no matter how small. Derrick's family deserves answers.
I keep thinking about the location where Derrick Alexander was found. Ritterman Avenue isn’t exactly a busy part of Baton Rouge, especially at that time of night. It makes me wonder if Derrick was targeted and lured there deliberately or if he simply found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The fact that a father and soon-to-be-husband was taken from his family is so incredibly sad. I can’t imagine the pain his children and fiancée must be going through, having lost him so suddenly and without any answers. It must be so frustrating for the community, too, knowing that the person or people responsible are still out there. I really hope that someone who knows something comes forward soon, so Derrick’s family can get the justice they deserve. Anyone hear anything new on this case recently?
