I’ve been following the case of Andrew Tavares, and my thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. What really sticks with me is the skate park setting of the incident. It’s a place where you’d expect youthful energy and creativity, not tragedy and violence. The fact that the confrontation between Andrew and Sean turned deadly there is haunting. It adds a layer of sadness, thinking about how a location tied to their shared interest in graffiti became the site of such a terrible event. I’m also left wondering about the role of their friends and how they must feel, being witnesses to something so tragic. The trauma they must be experiencing is unimaginable. I really hope they’re getting the support they need during this tough time. It’s important to remember that what happened not only impacts the victim’s family but also ripples through the community.
