I’ve been following the case of Jairo Ortiz and can’t stop thinking about the role of the nearby film set in this tragic event. Given that it seems unrelated to his death, I wonder how frequent it is for incidents to occur near these sets without being directly connected. It’s unsettling to think someone could lose their life essentially at their workplace, yet the reason or person responsible remains a mystery. My heart goes out to Ortiz's family, especially knowing they're trying to bring him back to Oregon. It must be incredibly difficult for them, dealing with the logistics of it all amidst their grief. I really hope someone steps forward with information soon—a small lead could make all the difference in bringing closure. Is there any indication whether security measures at dispensaries like the one Ortiz was guarding are being reconsidered in light of this? It seems like there might need to be more protection for workers who are often first in line when something goes wrong.
