Has anyone else been digging into the logistics of what happened that night at Fuhrer's Park? I've been looking into historical records, and it seems like there was quite a festive atmosphere with the live orchestra playing. It makes me think about how chaotic the environment must have been, which might have contributed to that terrible misidentification. It's haunting to consider how quickly a joyful event turned tragic. As much as we discuss protocol and blame, I can't help but think about Detective Cameron's family and the unimaginable grief they endured. No policy change can ever mend their loss, but I hope the discussions prompted by this tragedy have led to meaningful improvements in officer communication and undercover protocols. If anyone has come across more details about the events leading up to the shooting or the changes implemented afterward, I'd love to hear more. Keeping in mind the human cost, let’s hope such a tragic accident has served to protect other officers from similar fates.
