I’ve been reflecting on the murder of Mickey Spillane and the impact it had on his family and community. While Mickey had a reputation as a "Gentleman Gangster," it’s clear his influence extended far beyond the criminal world. He was known for his firm stand against drug trafficking, which, ironically, may have heightened tensions with other criminal factions. Regardless of his past, it must have been incredibly difficult for his family to process his sudden and violent death. I can't imagine the pain his loved ones went through. It's a reminder that even those involved in the darker sides of life have families and friends left to deal with the aftermath. Does anyone know if there were any efforts from his community to honor his memory, despite his controversial lifestyle?
