I've been reading about the Palm Sunday Massacre, and one aspect that truly sticks with me is how unsuspecting all the victims were. It's so chilling to think of Migdalia Perez and all the others just going about their day, completely unaware of the horror that would unfold. It seems like they were in a place they felt safe, only to have that sanctuary shattered in the most violent way. My heart goes out to their families and the community who had to come to terms with such unimaginable loss. I can't even begin to fathom the fear and bewilderment they must have felt. The way this tragic event unfolded really highlights the importance of having support systems in place for victims of domestic issues to hopefully prevent such tragedies in the future. Sending love to all those affected by this senseless act.
