Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Palm Sunday Massacre case for a while now, and something that really stands out to me is the aftermath for the families involved. I can’t even begin to fathom the trauma and pain the families of those ten victims, especially little Maria Isabel Perez's loved ones, must have endured over the years. One thing that caught my attention is the path of the infant survivor who was adopted by Joanne Jaffe. It’s incredible how she managed to rise through such a horrific start to life. While details about her journey are understandably private, her story is a testament to resilience and the power of a loving, supportive environment. In cases like this, it's easy to focus on the perpetrator and the crime, but I think it's essential to keep the victims and their families at the forefront. Their lives were forever changed in an instant, and I hope they’ve found some sense of peace and healing, even though the shadow of that day undoubtedly lingers. What do you all think about the way the community has remembered this tragedy over the years? It seems like it’s still an open wound for many people who lived in Brooklyn at the time.
