I’ve been thinking about how intense and terrifying that standoff on Kraus Road must have been. Imagine the fear that Deputy Dillemuth’s family and colleagues felt during those nine agonizing hours. It's hard to fathom the emotional roller coaster they experienced, hoping for some miracle that he would pull through. The bravery it takes for law enforcement officers to face such unpredictable dangers day in and day out is incredible. Deputy Dillemuth's sacrifice is a sobering reminder of the risks these officers take to keep us safe. My thoughts are with his family and the other officers who had to live through such a traumatic event. Deputy Dillemuth's name on that memorial stands as a testament to his courage and commitment.
