It's incredibly sad to think about how one person's inability to deal with rejection spiraled into such a devastating tragedy. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and loss that The Yellow Dogs members and their families are enduring. It’s chilling to think that something as seemingly minor as a "petty conflict" could lead to such horrible consequences. I’ve read that Rafie had a work visa about to expire—perhaps that pressure compounded his feelings of rejection? It’s just so tragic and frustrating that no one was able to prevent him from reaching this breaking point. My heart goes out to all who were close to Soroush and the others.
