I recently came across the case of Michael Anthony Santiago and was struck by the impact on his two young sons, Julian and Michael Jr. Losing a parent is devastating at any age, but for children so young, I can’t imagine the confusion and pain they must have felt when their dad didn't come home. It's easy to focus on the details of the case, but these kids have to grow up without their father, which is something they will carry forever. It’s important to remember that behind the crime scene tape and the courtroom verdicts are families who have to piece their lives back together. Sending strength and love to those boys as they navigate life without their dad.

I've been following the case of Michael Anthony Santiago, and one aspect that doesn't seem to get enough attention is how this terrible act unfolded in broad daylight. It's truly unsettling to think this happened in full view of the public, right in the middle of the afternoon. It speaks volumes about Kamau Kiarie's state of mind that he would carry out such a violent act without attempting to hide it. My heart goes out to Santiago's family. It must be incredibly difficult to come to terms with the fact that he was taken from them in such a public and brazen manner. It’s horrifying to think that anyone could be so bold and reckless. I hope the community continues to support his loved ones and keeps his memory alive.

Does anyone else feel like Michael's story got lost in the chaos of the case? It's just devastating to think about his two young sons growing up without their dad. By all accounts, he was trying to reboot his life, looking forward to a new job and a fresh start. But then something like this happens, and it's just so senseless. I keep thinking about how his boys are now dealing with this unimaginable loss. They’ll have to rely on others to hear stories about what their dad was like. I can only hope Michael's family has found some peace, even though I know that pain never truly goes away.
