Hi everyone, I can't stop thinking about the impact Ronald Stern's murder has had on the Rochester community. As a mother, my heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly still grappling with this unimaginable loss. It's terrifying to think about how quickly an ordinary night can turn into a tragedy. The fact that this happened in a seemingly mundane setting like the Family Dollar parking lot just underscores how unpredictable life can be. I'm also deeply troubled by how young Ralik Coffie was when arrested—only 19. It makes me wonder about the circumstances that led him down this path so early in his life. While there’s no excuse for what happened, I feel like this case highlights the need for more community support and intervention programs for at-risk youth. Maybe, just maybe, early intervention could prevent future tragedies like this. Has anyone else been thinking about how we can address the root causes of such violence in our neighborhoods? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe out there. JennyD822

I can't stop thinking about how quickly the community came together after Ronald Stern's tragic death. It's moments like these that really show the strength and resilience of Rochester. Even though I didn't know Ronald personally, I've heard from those who did, and it seems like he was a kind-hearted individual who didn't deserve such a tragic fate. What's been on my mind is the bravery of Earl Cartwright. Surviving an ordeal like that and then being able to provide information to the police must have taken immense courage. Earl, if you're out there reading this, know that we're all supporting you as you continue to heal. Your story is a testament to human strength and resilience. I hope Stern's family finds some peace knowing that the suspects were identified and charged. This case serves as a tragic reminder that we must stand together to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. Has anyone else in this forum lived or experienced violence in the Genesee Street area? How did the community around there change after the incident?
