I've been following Lawrence Walden’s case and wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind: the location where he was found. Bayview Houses in Coney Island has long been known for its struggles with crime and safety issues. It's such a tragedy that Lawrence was discovered there, in a place that already has so much history of violence. This must have been incredibly hard for the residents to process, knowing yet another life was lost in their community. It's a stark reminder of the urgent need for more effective safety measures and community support. It begs the question, what more can be done to make such areas safer and prevent tragedies like this? And why, despite so many eyes on this case, has there been hardly any progress in finding out who did this? My heart goes out to Lawrence's family and friends who are desperately seeking answers and justice. It's been far too long for them to go without any closure. What are your thoughts on how the community could heal and work towards change?

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Lawrence Walden's case since it first happened, and something that's been haunting me is the environment around Bayview Houses where he was found. I used to live near there, and it's tough to imagine someone lying in agony with nobody able to help in time. It makes you think about the relationship between community safety and these housing areas. How are residents supposed to feel secure in their own neighborhoods when something like this can happen so close to home? I wonder if more community programs or increased police presence could have made a difference back then or if it still could today. Lawrence’s tragic end in such a public space, yet having no immediate suspects, is a gut-wrenching thought. I really hope that eventually, more efforts are made to ensure that such brutal acts are not forgotten and that other people do not have to suffer the same way. My thoughts continue to be with his family and all who knew him. Stay safe out there, folks.
