Hey everyone, I've been following Eddie Alonzo Keys III's case, and something that’s really been on my mind is the lack of progress in identifying a motive or suspects. It just seems so frustrating, considering how much Eddie meant to his community both as a minister and as a culinary artist. It’s awful that someone who dedicated his life to uplifting others could become a victim of the very violence he wanted to help overcome after moving from New Orleans post-Katrina. I feel deeply for his family; they must feel stuck in an endless cycle of grief and questions. The sheer number of gunshots heard that night suggests the shooter was really intent on making sure Eddie didn't survive. What was behind such determination? It just doesn’t add up, and it makes me wonder if there was more to this—perhaps something personal or completely random? Also, Baton Rouge was experiencing such a wave of violence back in 2015. It’s heartbreaking to think that those statistics include real people whose stories ended before their time. It’s important for us to keep talking about these cases so they aren't forgotten. I really hope someone who knows something will step forward and help bring some peace to Eddie’s family. Let's keep sharing his story.
