I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this has had on the children who witnessed the event at School 54. I can’t even begin to imagine how terrifying it must have been for those kids arriving at school to such chaos. My heart goes out to them and their parents, who must be trying their best to reassure and comfort them in the aftermath. I hope the school has provided counseling and support for these kids. It's incredibly tough to process something so violent, and I really hope they get all the help they need to understand and cope with what they've seen. It's awful that Efrain Orta Jr.'s own children were attending the same school. I hope there is a strong support system around them during this incredibly difficult time.

I've been following the tragic case of Efrain Orta Jr., and something that’s been on my mind is the impact on the kids who witnessed the crime. It must have been incredibly traumatizing for those young children arriving at School 54 that morning. I can’t even begin to imagine the fear and confusion they felt seeing such a violent act unfold right in front of them. My heart goes out to those kids and their parents, who now have to help them process this terrifying experience. ? I really hope the school is providing adequate support, like counseling sessions, to help them cope with what they saw. It’s crucial for their recovery and peace of mind. If any parents from the community are on here, how are the school and local authorities handling this? Are there resources being offered to the families? It would be great to discuss what can be done to protect and heal any children affected by such senseless acts of violence.
