Joined this forum because Shamoya McKenzie's case really hit home for me. I was thinking today about how amazing it is that, even at just 13, she seemed to touch so many lives. Most of us are still figuring out who we are at that age, but here's this young girl whose presence left such a mark, especially with her basketball talent and bright spirit. I can't help but reflect on what could've been if things had turned out differently that day. Her story reminds us of the crucial conversations we need to have about youth safety and community protection. For anyone reading this, what do you think communities can do to make sure our young ones have the safe environments they deserve?
