It's times like these when I feel deeply for Shaleek Jenkins' family. It's been over six years now, yet this case still weighs heavily on the hearts of many in our community. While the arrest of the Corley brothers might have brought some semblance of justice, it doesn’t erase the pain felt by Shaleek’s loved ones. I can only imagine the anguish they went through, waiting to see if those responsible would be held accountable. Something that puzzles me, though, is the role of Christopher Corley in all of this. It's one thing for someone to commit a crime, but to have your own brother try to shield you from justice adds a layer of complexity I can't quite wrap my head around. It's like, did he even think about the agony of Shaleek's family while trying to cover for his brother? My thoughts are with Shaleek’s family and friends, who have been waiting for justice and trying to move forward. I hope this case eventually serves as a reminder of the resilience of those who seek justice and the importance of community support in the face of such senseless tragedies.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the role community support plays in cases like Shaleek Jenkins'. It seems like the community in Valley Stream really rallied around Jenkins' family after his tragic death. From what I've read, there were several vigils organized by local residents and community leaders, providing a comforting space for friends and family to share their memories of him. It's moments like these that remind me how crucial it is for us to come together during times of loss. Grieving can be incredibly isolating, but knowing that a community stands behind you can offer immense support. It’s inspiring to see how the residents of Valley Stream have shown solidarity and compassion. Did anyone from the area attend any of these gatherings, or know more about other ways the community has been supporting the family? Would love to hear more about it. Sending thoughts to all who knew and loved him.
