I've been following Kevin Turner's case for a while, and one thing that really struck me was how law enforcement managed to track the gun used in the crime back to Pittsburgh. It's horrifying to think about how this weapon was just floating around in the illegal market, waiting to wreak havoc. It really brings to light the terrifying reality of illegal gun trafficking and how these things can cross state lines so easily. I can only imagine the pain and frustration Kevin's family must have felt knowing that this senseless tragedy was part of something so much bigger and insidious. Kudos to the investigators who worked tirelessly to connect the dots and bring those responsible to justice. This is just such a painful reminder of the many layers of criminal activities that cost an innocent young man his life. My heart goes out to Kevin's loved ones; I hope they find some solace in knowing that some part of this dreadful ordeal has been resolved.
