Hey everyone, I've been following Raymond Rue's case, and something that stands out to me is the tension between the residents of the Baisley Park housing project and LIFE Camp. It’s really sad to see how a community that's already hurting is brought into even more conflict. I get that LIFE Camp is trying to do some good, but it seems like there's a disconnect somewhere. Maybe it's how they communicate their efforts or maybe they don't fully understand the local dynamics. It's understandable that residents might feel protective or even skeptical, especially when change doesn’t happen overnight, or past initiatives have failed. Still, the goal of reducing gun violence is so important. I hope both LIFE Camp and the residents can find some common ground through open, honest dialogue. It's crucial they work together for solutions that genuinely reflect the community's needs. My heart goes out to Rue’s family and everyone affected by this tragedy. No one should have to live in fear or feel unheard in their own neighborhood. What are your thoughts on how community interventions like this could be improved?
