I've been following Deandré Jenkins' case for some time now, and his story has left a deep impact on me. I recently read about how his family and friends tried to keep his memory alive through a rap video that tragically became the scene of yet another act of violence. This really got me thinking about the devastating cycle of violence that seems to grip some communities. It's so unfair that a gathering meant for remembrance and healing turned into another scene of sorrow. I can't imagine the additional pain this must have caused for those who loved Deandré. It's moments like these that highlight just how difficult it is for communities to find peace and healing when justice is still out of reach. I keep hoping that those who know something will come forward so Deandré's family can finally have the answers and closure they deserve. It’s crucial that we address these root issues, but in the meantime, I hope anyone who might have information about what happened that night can find it in their heart to speak up. Any small detail could be what breaks the case. My thoughts continue to be with Deandré's family.
