Has anyone considered the truck driver who picked up Charlotte Erdman? It's bizarre that there's not more info on him or why he wasn't mentioned before the letter arrived. Given that the letter was postmarked from Illinois, maybe he had a bigger role in this than we initially thought? Truck drivers traveled extensively, and if he had ill intentions, he would have had plenty of opportunities to move from place to place without raising too much suspicion. Has anyone found records of missing person cases around the same time in states where he might have traveled? It's been so many years, but maybe it's worth exploring known truck routes from back then to see if any patterns emerge. Could just be grasping at straws here, but something doesn't feel right about the whole situation. If any new info comes out about this driver, it could open up new leads. Thoughts?

Has anyone else noticed how unusual it is that Charlotte's family didn't report her missing until almost 45 years later in 2019? I've been following a few other cases, and this delay seems pretty rare, especially given that they did receive a letter from her shortly after she went missing. Was there hope that she'd come back on her own? Or perhaps they got more letters that we just don’t know about? It's baffling—perhaps they truly believed she was safe or maybe there's more to this story that hasn’t been made public. Anyone have insights on how often families delay filing missing person reports like this, and why that might happen?

Has anyone looked into the truck driver's background more thoroughly? I find it odd that Charlotte's family got a letter from her, postmarked in Illinois—it's a small link, but given that the driver was also based in Illinois, can it be more than just coincidence? It's such a massive time gap between her disappearance and when she was reported missing, which unfortunately means a cold trail. I wonder if there are any records of the driver's whereabouts or employment history at that time. It might seem like a shot in the dark after all these years, but any tiny lead could help piece this puzzle together. Would love to hear if anyone's got more info on that angle, or if there’s been any outreach to try and trace the letter’s origins or handwriting analysis. Every detail could be crucial!
