Charlotte Ann Erdman, a 15-year-old girl from Watertown, Wisconsin, was last seen on July 18, 1974. Charlotte ran away from home that day and was believed to have been picked up by a 41-year-old long-haul truck driver based in Illinois. About two weeks after her disappearance, her family received a letter from her, postmarked in Illinois.
