Charlotte Ann Erdman, a 15-year-old girl from Watertown, Wisconsin, was last seen on July 18, 1974. Charlotte ran away from home that day and was believed to have been picked up by a 41-year-old long-haul truck driver based in Illinois. About two weeks after her disappearance, her family received a letter from her, postmarked in Illinois. In the letter, Charlotte assured her family that she was safe, not involved in any illegal activities, and that she would keep in touch. However, this was the ...
