Has anyone else been following the courtroom proceedings for Jarrell Howard? I can't help but think about what NyJawaun Thomas's family must have felt every time they went to court. I mean, how does a family even begin to process such a devastating loss while having to sit through a trial, reliving the worst moment of their lives? My heart goes out to them. The strength it must take to face the person responsible for such pain is unimaginable.
Also, it's mentioned that Howard was already serving a 15-year sentence for a different violent crime when he was sentenced for this one. That really makes me wonder about the factors leading up to these actions and how the system handles such cases. Were there signs that could have been caught earlier? I hope this brings some semblance of closure to NyJawaun’s loved ones. Sending peace and support their way.
