On October 7, 2015, 47-year-old David Joseph Branze of Gresham, Oregon, tragically lost his life in a hunting accident near Meacham in Umatilla County. While deer hunting with his father, Louis Neil Branze, 76, of Seaside, Oregon, David was fatally shot. The Umatilla County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident, which was reported as an accidental shooting.
