Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Stephanie Perkins and Chioke Thompson, and a part of the story that’s been on my mind is how bold and brazen the attack was. I mean, the fact that the shooter, disguised in broad daylight, could confront them with such overwhelming violence on Van Siclen Avenue is terrifying. It speaks volumes about how fearless he must have felt, possibly because of a long history in crime. This wasn’t just a random act of violence; it seemed targeted and planned, which is hard to wrap my head around.
It's clear the community is still reeling from this loss, and I can’t help but feel for Stephanie’s family, especially knowing she dedicated so much of her life to her work and family. Chioke’s bravery in trying to protect her is something that should never be forgotten; it’s heart-wrenching that two promising lives were snuffed out so suddenly.
While it's a relief that Charles Hernandez was apprehended, the impact of his actions will be felt for a long time, and I hope justice will prevail. Sending lots of strength and love to all who knew and cared for Stephanie and Chioke. Be kind to each other ❤️
