I just can’t stop thinking about the vigil Warren was attending when he was shot. It's so tragic how he was there to honor another life lost to violence, only to become a victim himself. This was supposed to be a moment of mourning and solidarity for the community, but it turned into another nightmare. It makes you wonder whether these vigils are becoming targets or if it was just a terrible coincidence. The number of homicides in Mount Vernon this year is deeply concerning. Warren’s case being the ninth just adds to the fear that no place feels safe anymore. But it also emphasizes the need for the community to come together and push for change. No family should endure what Warren’s loved ones are going through. We owe it to them to demand better safety measures and more resources dedicated to solving these crimes. Justice sometimes feels like an intangible idea, but it’s crucial not to lose hope. If anyone knows anything, please come forward. Warren deserves justice, and his family deserves answers.
