Hey everyone,
I’ve been absorbed in the Vernelle Pickens case lately, and something that's been on my mind is why there's such a lack of information about her plans to head to Raleigh. Did she mention any specific reasons to her family, like a job opportunity or someone she intended to meet there? Maybe it was just a fresh start she was after, but if anyone has heard about any possible connections she might have had in the Raleigh area back in '77, it could be a piece of the puzzle we’re missing. It’s like there’s this gap between her release from prison, the visit to Asheville, and her plans afterward that we know so little about. Any thoughts or theories on this?
Has anyone else been researching Vernelle Pickens' case? I stumbled across something interesting about the time she went missing. There were a few reports of unidentified remains found in North Carolina over the years, and some of the circumstances seem pretty close to her disappearance. I can't help but wonder if there might be a connection, but somehow it hasn't led to any breakthroughs. Why is there such a gap, even after all these years? Could it be a lack of proper investigation back then, or is there something more to it? I'm convinced that someone out there knows something crucial. If anything new surfaces, sharing it could finally give Vernelle's family the answers they've been seeking for so long.
