I've been following Lamar Brown's case closely, and the recent arrest of José Reyes brings some hope for justice. It's hard not to think about the courage Lamar showed by standing up to those dealers in his building, trying to protect his neighbors, especially the elderly. It's incredibly sad that it might have cost him his life. But something that's been on my mind is the role of community awareness and how vital it is. If more people felt empowered to report suspicious activities or were more aware of their surroundings, perhaps the police might have been able to piece things together sooner. I hope this case encourages more community involvement and cooperation with law enforcement, so tragedies like this can be prevented or resolved quicker in the future. Sending love and strength to Lamar's family. No one should ever have to go through this pain. Let’s hope for continued progress in the case and for peace to find his loved ones.
