Has anyone else been following the details of Shawn Appleberry's appeals? It's shocking to see the lengths his defense went to after his conviction for the murder of Desmin Diggs. The fact that they focused so much on the alleged juror misconduct due to social media activity is really something. It makes me wonder how often this kind of appeal gets brought up in cases today with how prevalent social media is in our daily lives. I can't even begin to imagine how this must have felt for the Diggs family, having to endure the added stress of these legal battles after such a devastating loss. It's somewhat reassuring to know that justice was upheld and that Appleberry's appeals were denied, but it surely didn't make the process any less grueling for them. My thoughts go out to Desmin's loved ones, especially his kids. It's just so important that they're surrounded by love and support during such a tough time. Wishing them peace and strength as they try to heal from this tragedy.
