Does anyone else feel like the time and location of Anthony Ramon's murder are particularly unsettling? 9 a.m. is when most of us are just starting our day, grabbing a coffee, maybe taking the kids to school. To think that this happened in broad daylight in such a lively area like Alphabet City is terrifying. I can't imagine the trauma for those who witnessed it or for Anthony's family, who now have to navigate a world without him. It's a sad reflection on the level of violence we've reached when disputes escalate to this point. I really hope there are measures taken to prevent situations like this in the future. It's not just about justice for Anthony but also making sure something like this doesn't become the norm in our communities.
