I’ve been thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on the community around Tremont Park. It’s hard to imagine that a place meant for families and friends to gather in peace was turned into the scene of such violence. Knowing that Delijah was only 21 and had his whole life ahead of him makes it even more difficult to comprehend. I hope the community comes together not just to share information with the authorities, but also to reclaim their space and support each other through this trying time. I believe in the power of people coming together to create positive change, and my heart goes out to everybody affected by this senseless act. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that behind all the statistics and headlines, real lives are impacted. Take care of one another.
