Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Andre E. Jones and just can't wrap my head around why this happened. It’s devastating to think that someone could be sitting in their truck, minding their own business, and suddenly become the victim of such a brutal act. I’ve been thinking a lot about the location where it happened, Olcott Street near Wilmuth Avenue. Does anyone know if there have been other incidents in that area before? It seems so out of character for Lackawanna, given how the community has described their safety concerns post-incident. My heart goes out to Andre's family and friends—I can't imagine what they're going through, and I hope they get the justice they deserve soon. If anyone hears more updates from the investigation or about community safety meetings, please share. We all want to help however we can.
Hi everyone,
I've been following Andre Jones's case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the timing and location of the shooting. It happened in the very early morning hours on Olcott Street near Wilmuth Avenue, a time and place when you wouldn’t expect much activity or witnesses. Given how quiet neighborhoods like Lackawanna usually are, it's baffling—and concerning—that such a violent act could go unnoticed.
I’m wondering if there were any security cameras in the area, whether on homes or businesses nearby. Even something as small as a Ring doorbell camera might’ve captured part of the incident or at least some suspicious activity leading up to it. It's frustrating to think of how dark that stretch of road might be at that hour, potentially giving the suspects the cover they needed to get away unseen.
My heart truly goes out to Andre’s family and friends; I can’t even begin to imagine the unimaginable grief they're enduring. It makes it all the more important for the community to come together and assist in any way they can. If anyone lives in that area or knows someone who does, maybe check your camera footage if possible?
We all hope for answers and justice for Andre soon. Stay safe, everyone.
Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Andre E. Jones, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I was reading some local news reports and noticed there's been a lot of community support for his family, with vigils and fundraisers. It’s truly moving to see how people in Lackawanna are coming together to support the family and demand justice.
I’m really curious about the role of community tips in these kinds of investigations. Given that the police have called on residents to assist if they have any information, it makes me wonder just how often tips from the public actually lead to breakthroughs in cases like this. If anyone has insights or experiences they can share about community involvement in criminal investigations, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s keep this thread going and hope that Andre’s family finds justice soon.
