Has anyone else taken a deep dive into the land ownership records for American Asphalt Company during the time Cindy vanished? I find it strange that despite Norman's confession, nobody has successfully pinpointed the exact gravel pit location. There could have been multiple properties or changes in ownership that complicated the search efforts. Local records from that time might reveal some overlooked information. Maybe even an employee or someone who worked there during the 80s could recall more specifics. It seems like there’s a missing piece in this tragic puzzle that we’re just not seeing.
Has anyone here ever looked into the locations where Norman Jones allegedly buried Cindy? I've been digging into local maps and old land ownership records, and it seems there were a number of gravel pits owned by the American Asphalt Company during that time. It's strange because Park Falls and Medford are quite a drive apart, about an hour or so according to current maps. It makes me wonder if there's an error in the locations mentioned or if it's just part of covering tracks. Maybe some of the longsuffering local sleuths have looked into this? I know it's a long shot, given how much time has passed, but it seems like this might be a rabbit hole worth going down for fresh insights. Would love to hear any thoughts or leads anyone has dug up about these places.
