Has anyone else been thinking about the role of hotel security in the Paul Kutz case? It’s such a tragic situation all around, and my heart truly goes out to his family. I can’t help but wonder if there’s anything hotels can or should do to prevent similar incidents from happening. The fact that someone like Roy Johnson, who had a known criminal background, was staying at the hotel is just alarming. Should hotels do more comprehensive background checks on their guests, or is that an invasion of privacy? It’s just so mind-boggling that an argument could escalate so quickly into such a devastating act of violence. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on hotel protocols in cases like this. How do we balance guest privacy with ensuring safety?
