I’ve been following the Michael Hartmann case closely, and recently I’ve been thinking about the role the attorneys are playing. Jason Bassett and Christopher Cassar have some serious work ahead of them, especially given the weight of the charges against Schor and Fernandez. While everyone deserves a fair defense, I can’t imagine the kind of emotional toll this is putting on Hartmann’s family, knowing that legal wrangling might delay justice. It’s always difficult to see these processes unfold—balancing the right to defense with the hope for justice. I hope Hartmann’s daughters, who were inside the house during the shooting, have a strong support network around them. Times like this, community support can be invaluable. I’m holding them in my thoughts as the case progresses, hoping for some sense of closure for them soon.
I've been following the case of Michael Hartmann quite closely since the arrests of Fernandez and Schor, and I can't get over the impact this must have on his daughters. It's unimaginable to think of what they went through that morning and how they've been coping since then. They lost their father in such a sudden and violent way, and I'm sure returning to the home where it happened must be incredibly challenging. I'm really hoping they have a strong support system around them and possibly even counseling to help them navigate this incredibly tough time. The community in Bohemia seems quite close-knit, and it’s comforting to know that there are people who care so deeply about Hartmann's family and are standing by them as they go through this ordeal. Our hearts go out to the family, and we hope justice is served soon.
