I've been following the case of Officer Carlton X. Fletcher, and I can't shake my frustration over the sentencing changes. Why was the suspect's sentence reduced from two consecutive life terms to just 25 years, and without any notification to the family or his department? It seems like a glaring oversight that further victimizes those already suffering from this loss. Officer Fletcher’s family deserved better from the justice system. I've seen similar cases where families are kept in the dark, and it's incredibly disheartening. This kind of thing really undermines trust in the system that's supposed to protect us and honor those who serve. My heart goes out to Officer Fletcher's wife and child, who surely expected more transparency and justice for their loved one. How can we prevent such miscarriages of justice from happening again?
