I've been following the Reid case, and my heart goes out to David's family and friends who are now grappling with this unimaginable loss. I find it incredibly distressing how often a separation or divorce can escalate to such a tragic level. It's devastating that in a situation where both parties might have originally hoped to move on peacefully, it ended in such horror. I can’t help but think about the role that mental health struggles might play in moments like these. Michelle was clearly in a very dark place to commit such an act. I wonder if there were any indicators or cries for help that went unnoticed. It's crucial that we as a society start addressing mental health issues with the seriousness they deserve, especially in domestic situations, to hopefully prevent future tragedies like this one. Sending virtual hugs to everyone affected in the Gaithersburg community. Truly hoping people seek support and find healing.
