I've been thinking a lot about the community vigil that was held for Davron Dorsey shortly after his tragic passing. The outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and even strangers was truly moving. It’s a testament to what a bright light Davron must’ve been to those who knew him. I can't help but feel deeply for his family; no parent should ever have to bury their child. These gatherings, while incredibly sad, also show the strength and unity of the community. It’s crucial that this momentum is kept alive. We need to continue advocating for change and supporting one another. Ending gun violence isn't just about policy, it’s also about community effort and awareness. I hope we can honor Davron's memory by working towards a safer Baltimore.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Davron Dorsey, and something that's really sticking with me is the role of the community around Pimlico. There were numerous witnesses that night who might have seen or heard something unusual, but the silence from potential eyewitnesses has been frustrating. It's understandable, given the fear that often pervades neighborhoods grappling with violence, but I wish more people felt empowered to come forward. I can’t imagine the pain his family is going through, knowing that there are people out there with information that could've aided the investigation sooner. It must be such a heavy burden to carry. It’s a reminder of how crucial community cooperation is in prosecuting these types of crimes and preventing future tragedies. It would be great to see more initiatives that focus on building trust between law enforcement and these communities, so people feel safe enough to speak up. It would not only honor Davron’s memory but also help many others living under the threat of everyday violence. Thoughts?
