I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of surveillance footage in Dyante Lee Battle's case. It's chilling to imagine that just a few years ago, cases like this might have remained unsolved without such evidence. I'm grateful that technology played a big part in identifying Malachi Aaron Banks, but it makes me wonder: How often do we miss other pieces when we don't have that kind of evidence? I can't imagine the pain Dyante's family must feel, knowing there were possibly others involved. It’s an ongoing struggle for closure when all the questions aren’t fully answered. My heart goes out to them as they continue to seek justice and healing in this difficult time. How do others feel about the role of tech in solving these tragic cases?
