Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Ervin Talley Jr. case and can't stop thinking about the impact on both boys’ families. It’s incredibly difficult to comprehend how a moment of recklessness and access to an unsecured firearm can lead to such a profound tragedy. Whatever your stance on firearms, it’s undeniable that leaving them accessible to kids can have devastating consequences. I'm particularly moved by Ervin's family, who had to deal with this sudden loss. Imagining their pain is difficult, and it compels me to hope for much-needed changes in how firearms are stored at home. Nobody should have to endure losing a child this way. My thoughts go out to Ervin's loved ones, and I hope this is a wake-up call for all parents who have guns in their homes. Stay safe, everyone.
